Stewart Cottingham family portrait Stewart T. Cottingham (1848-1936) and
Rebecca Coleman Cottingham (1851-1925)
Dewey (b. 1900) and Jesse (b. 1902) Hood are the children seated in the front. They are the sons of Jessie (a daughter of Stewart and Rebecca) and G. H. Hood, who were married Dec 26, 1899. Jessie died giving birth to Jesse, and the two boys grew up with their grandparents. The woman to the rear is Lottie, another daughter of Rebecca and Stewart. The man in the middle is believed to be the father of the boys, G. H. Hood. The man to the rear right is probably a son of Rebecca and Stewart ( either Dave, Charley or Arthur).
