 Elijah Cottingham (1800-1832)was a son of Thomas Cottingham and Rhoda Townsend. Elijah was born in Maryland, but he grew up in Kentucky where he married married Nancy. Joshua Townsend Cottingham (1808-1868)was a son of Thomas Cottingham and Rhoda Townsend. When his brother Elijah died in 1832 Joshua became the legal guardian to his children Wm Henry, Sidney, Luther Calvin and Rhoda Ann. Served as Justice of the Peace. Photo taken and submitted by Bob Schulz |
